It became evident, especially after the Texas Longhorns defeated Bush's USC Trojans for the Bowl Championship Series National Championship in the Rose Bowl, that Texas quarterback Vince Young took his lopsided loss to Bush in the Heisman balloting personally. He has now been vindicated, not only by the Longhorns' defeat of the Trojans, but the fact that he has been named USSA Athlete of the Month.
